General Information
The Montjuic area is a popular destination for tourists visiting with children. There are many areas especially designed for children within the park itself. Most of the landmarks on the hill are adapted and recommended for children, such as Poble Espanyol (The Spanish Village), the Castle of Montjuic or the Magic Fountains.
The museums in this area are kids-friendly. Fundació Joan Miró (Joan Miró Museum) for example, features a special park area that focuses on tours especially organized for children visiting the museum and teaches them the art of painting.
When visiting Montjuic with children you have to be aware of the fact that most of the attractions are outdoors. During the summer make sure to bring sunscreen, hats and water to protect yourself and your kids from the Mediterranean sun. In the winter time note that these attraction located on a hill and it can get very windy and rainy. Make sure to dress accordingly.
