Since Ciutat Vella is a very famous and popular part of Barcelona, a lot of tourists would like to find a hotel room or an apartment here, and accordingly, the variety of accommodation in this part of the city is quite wide.

However, there are differences between the hotels depending on the part of the district in which they are situated. El Raval is cheaper than the other parts of Ciutat Vella, but the neighborhood is not very beautiful and it is inhabited mainly by students and immigrants, so for those who want to avoid shady encounters in the middle of the night, should not reserve a hotel room in this area. At the same time, the Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic) is a very beautiful and romantic area, but the prices are higher than in other areas. • Though there are some family friendly hotels in Ciutat Vella, mostly in the area of the Parc de la Ciutadella, the rooms in this quarter are quite small and expensive.
