General Information

The Eixample is a colorful district with many restaurants and coffee shops, where tourists can enjoy architectural and food themed tours, along with various other attractions. This area is recommended to be visited with children and one can visit this place with the family during any part of the day.

Younger kids may find it boring and since the unique, colorful and eccentric modernist buildings are more interesting for them from the outside than from inside, it is suggested to visit only a few of them from the inside. Is is also recommended to give the kids prior to the visit some interesting information about the modernist architecture. Casa Batlló and Casa Milà would be some very good choices to visit because of the visual shows that are organized there, which present the modernist architecture of Antoni Gaudí.
