General Information

In general, Ciutat Vella is a family friendly due to its multiple attractions and activities suitable for kids. Parc de la Ciutadella (Citadel Park) and the nearby Zoo de Barcelona are particularly recommended for families with small children.

At the same time, El Raval is inhabited mainly by immigrants and at night you may encounter prostitutes and other shady types.
