The Mercat de La Concepció is not one of the main attractions of the city. Therefore, not many tourists that come with children include this area on their list of attractions to visit. We recommend you to visit this area only if you are passing by or you have an accommodation nearby.

You can combine your visit to the market with a shopping tour in Glories Mall or other shopping malls nearby, as well as the beach which is close by. The Mercat de La Concepció is not colorful like La Boqueria Market but it has all the smells the noise and the great food that a mediterranean market has to offer and the kids can enjoy with less crowd.

If you are staying in an apartment nearby we recommend you to come to the market and purchase food and if you have a kitchen you can cook some great and healthy mediterranean recipes with the help of your children. The area is all in all great for accommodating families with kids.
