Accessibility in Sinagoga Major de Barcelona

Sinagoga Major de Barcelona - Accessibility

General Information

The area of the Sinagoga Major de Barcelona (Ancient Synagogue of Barcelona) is a bit problematic for tourists who have a wheelchair since it is situated in the Gothic Quarter which is full of small narrow streets. The worst period is the summer because then there are many tourists and these narrow streets become overcrowded (for additional information – Accessibility in Gothic Quarter).

Nonetheless, the biggest part of the synagogue is accessible by wheelchair.

Note that the metro station Jaume I (L4) near the synagogue is not wheelchair-friendly, but metro station Liceu (L3) and also the bus are completely accessible (for additional information – Accessibility in Barcelona).
