General Information

Though Barcelona is famous for the football and it is visited by many tourists who want to see a good football match (for additional information – Football in Barcelona and Football Vacation Hotels in Barcelona), there are just a few opportunities to spend your holiday with sport activities (actually, other Spanish cities are more ideal for this kind of vacation).

Since Barcelona does not focus on sport vacation activities, you cannot find too many sport vacation hotels in the city. Nevertheless, you can find some hotels equipped with such facilities as a fitness room, an Olympic swimming pool, a football pitch, a basketball court, a tennis court or many others. However, these are usually not situated in the city center.
