Q: I plan to visit Barcelona in this summer - which card offers a better deal: Barcelona Card or Barcelona Pass?
A: Actually the two cards are completely different. The answer to your question depends on what attractions you want to visit in Barcelona.
Barcelona Card is more popular with tourists because it is cheaper than Barcelona Pass and in many cases it offers a good deal.
Nonetheless, Barcelona Pass offers some attractions free of charge that are not included in the Barcelona Card, inter alia Camp Nou / FC Barcelona Museum, the Hop-on Hop-off Bus, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera – Casa Milà (for additional information – Barcelona Card – What is Included?, List of Discounts Included in Barcelona Card).
It is strongly recommended to plan your trip ahead and only then decide if it will be worth to purchase Barcelona Pass. For example, if you intend to spend two days in the city during which you want to see just three or four attractions included in the card, for example Camp Nou / FC Barcelona Museum, La Pedrera – Casa Milà and Poble Espanyol (The Spanish Village) or to take a tour with the Hop-on Hop-off Bus, Barcelona Pass would not be profitable. But if you are in the city at least for three days and in addition to the above-mentioned attractions you wish to visit Casa Batlló, Aquarium Barcelona and Gaudí Exhibition Center and also participate in one of the walking tours covered by Barcelona Pass, the card will be very advantageous for you. Therefore, a good plan is very important!
