Montjuïc Cable Car or Telefèric de Montjuïc is a cable car in Barcelona which starts from Avinguda Miramar, makes a 750 meters and 8 minutes long journey in order to go up to the Montjuic Castle.
A ride in this cable car is an excellent opportunity to take a look at Barcelona and its most famous landmarks from a bird’s eye view (the vehicle rises at a height of 85 meters). You will pass over well-known buildings, such as Sagrada Familia and Torre Agbar. Due to the 360-degree windows, you can enjoy all these from multiple perspectives. The cable car has three stations, it is possible to get on and off at any of them. The second station is Mirador which is famous for Mirador de l’Alcalde. This is a nice terrace from where you can admire the port area of the city.
Costa i Llobera Gardens is also near the cable car station. It is a nice botanical garden, where you can take a pleasant walk, admire several amazing statues and plants and take a look at the harbour of Barcelona and the Poble Sec area using one of the telescopes settled in the garden.

Besides the old fort you can enjoy the unforgettable view of the city, the amazing Mediterranean Sea and the mountains.
Returning from the castle is simple, you either go down with the cable car or take a pleasant walk on the slopes of the hill.
