Q: Where exactly can I get on the Aerobus?
A: At El Prat, Aerobus Barcelona has stations at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (for additional information – Stations of Aerobus Barcelona). In both cases, the bus stations are located exactly outside the terminal. Line A1 starts at Level 0 of T1 (This is the arrivals area; when you will come back from the city, the bus will drop you off at Level 3).
If you arrive at T2, you need to catch Line A2. This line stops three times at the airport at T2A, T2B and T2C (Level 0).
Inside the city, the two bus lines stop at the same stations (for additional information – Aerobus Barcelona – Difference between A1 and A2); there are three stations on the route to the airport: Pl. Catalunya, Sepúlveda-Urgell and Pl. Espanya, and four when on its way back to Barcelona: Pl. Espanya, Gran Via-Urgell, Pl. Universitat and Pl. Catalunya. Therefore, you can get on an Aerobus on different stations, not just at the airport.
The bus station at Plaça de Catalunya is situated in front of the famous mall, El Corte Inglés. The shopping center and the bus stop will be exactly on your right, if you arrive from La Rambla. If you want to take the A1 line, you need to stay in a queue in front of the station. For A2, passengers have to wait behind the other queue.
At Plaça d’Espanya, you can catch the bus in front of Creu Coberta. It is the second station from Avinguda del Paral-lel.
Be aware that, unlike public buses, Aerobus does not operate in the small towns around Barcelona (for additional information – Route of Aerobus Barcelona and Aerobus or Public Bus?).
It is also recommended to review the real-time timetable and departure times on Aerobus Barcelona’s website since you can find a lot of practical information about the bus stops, as well. This way, you will be able to find the bus’ location on a map and stay updated in regards to when the next bus will arrive at a certain station.
