Barcelona Airport Private Transfer or Aerobus

Q: How can I arrive to the city from the airport in the simplest way? Should I get on Aerobus or it is better to book a private transfer?

A: In recent years, most of the tourists who had to arrive from El Prat to Barcelona have used Aerobus Barcelona or taxis (for additional information – Barcelona Airport Taxis).

Indeed, Aerobus has numerous advantages. Firstly, it is cheaper than taking a taxi or hiring a private transfer. Secondly, it can be considered to be a safe and comfortable service. Finally, it is quicker than public buses – It takes 35-45 minutes to arrive from the airport to the city center by Aerobus.

Nonetheless, it is not recommended for everyone and in every situation. Though it is quite fast, it does not take passengers directly to their destination, and therefore if your hotel is not situated next to an Aerobus station – you would have to use another type of transportation in order to get to your hotel. Furthermore, if you would like to arrive to less central areas, like Gracia, Sants or the area of Park Güell, we suggest to choose private transfer because Aerobus does not have stations in these areas (for additional information – Drop-Off Points of Barcelona Airport Private Transfer and Stops of Barcelona Airport Private Transfer).

Furthermore, Aerobus does not work during the night. In this period of the day Barcelona airport private arrival transfer is the more suitable mean of transportation (for additional information – Barcelona Airport Private Transfer at Night).

Please note that If your flight lands at Girona/Costa Brava airport (GRO) or at the airport of Reus (REU), Aerobus will not be an available option, since it only has a station in El Prat (BCN) airport.
