Q: I have lost my bracelet in the taxi on the way between El Prat and Barcelona. Do you have any suggestion what could I do now?
A: Hopefully, you have asked for and kept the receipt (if not, this will be a good lesson for you to always keep the receipt after a taxi drive, mainly in a foreign city). This document needs to contain all the information you need, such as the name and contact details of the taxi company, date and time of the ride, the licence and registration number of the car, etc.
If you can find the phone number of the taxi company on your receipt, you can call and ask for the bracelet. If you do not know the number, you can dial the Barcelona Taxi Lost Property Helpline: +34 90 210 1564.
Alternatively, you can visit the website of IMET (Metropolitan Taxi Institute) and fill out the following form. It is also possible to call them at 93 70 70 600.
Another solution is to contact the Barcelona City Council’s Lost and Found office by calling 010 (inside BCN) or entering the following website.
If you are lucky, the taxi driver might have already found your bracelet and has announced it at the competent authorities.
