The Gracia quarter is unique and different from the rest of Barcelona because up until the end of the 19th century this area was not part of the big city. Besides this, Gracia has many advantages compared to the city center. Firstly, it is less overcrowded, less noisy and more authentic. Secondly, the rooms are larger and 20%-30% cheaper. Thirdly, there are a lot of public parking areas. For the above mentioned reasons, this area is recommended mainly for families, large groups, people with disabilities, for those who want to visit Barcelona by car and for those would like to spend their holiday in peace and silence.
