A: It is not necessary to book a ticket for TMB Airport Bus (Number 46) in advance, as the tickets are available at all times. You can easily buy them at the airport or around Barcelona.

There are multiple possibilities available. One of them is to buy a single TMB ticket, which is valid for one bus/metro journey, or for a ride on the Montjuïc Cable Car. It only costs 2,20€ and it is available to purchase at every Punt TMB information and customer service center, and at the automatic vending machines of TMB. These machines are available at the metro stations of Barcelona, however most of the bus stations in the city are not equipped with one. Only four bus stops have this facility: Espanya, Pl. Universitat, Gran Via – Passeig de Gràcia and Mitre – Av. Sarrià.

A single urban bus ticket is similar to the previous option, and the price remains the same. The difference is that it is only accepted on the TMB’s buses. You can buy it right on the bus, directly from the driver. In this case, it is strongly recommended to pay the exact price or try not to exceed the amount excessively. You will not get the change back for banknotes higher than 10,00 €.
