General Information

The Mercat de la Concepció is located north of the Eixample district, on the west side of the Avinguda Diagonal. The area is not the first option that comes to mind when searching for accommodation in Barcelona, but we advise you to consider it. This area is great for accommodating families, especially the northern part of the market because there are many apartments with large rooms and cheaper prices. Even though the area is far from the nightlife of the center but it is very accessible by public transportation, the street are wide and the prices much lower compared to more central areas like La Rambla or the Gothic Quarter.

Another type of tourists that we recommend accommodation in this area for is businessmen that come for conferences. North to the market along the Diagonal street there are many 4 and 5 star hotels.

• When visiting the city during the summer it is highly recommended to book your hotel in advance because this area can be crowded.
