Q: My biggest nightmare related to our holiday in Barcelona is staying in long infinite queues at the entrance of the main attractions of the city. If we buy Barcelona Card, can we avoid it?

A: The answer depends on the attractions you want to visit. If the card provides free admission to that attraction, for example to Museu De La Xocolata (Chocolate Museum), Fundació Joan Miró or Museum of Contemporary Art (Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona), you do not need to stay in the queue. Bare in mind that in case of Museu Picasso you need to pre-order your ticket.

However, if you visit an attraction where just reduced price is provided by Barcelona Card, like Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou / FC Barcelona Museum, Casa Batlló or La Pedrera – Casa Milà, you need to stay in the queue until you get your ticket. Therefore it is not recommended to purchase Barcelona Card just to skip the line.
