A: Actually, you can buy your Barcelona Card at the airport and at any collection point of the city. In most cases there is no significant difference between ordering it via the internet or buying it in Barcelona.

Online purchase have two main advantages, firstly, it means a 5% reduction from the price of the card. Secondly, if you book your card online in advance, you can get it at the airport and you can activate it immediately, so you will not need to pay for the train from the airport to the city. Except these two advantage, it is indifferent where you buy the card.

Note that the tourist information office at the airport is open every day between 09:00-21:00. Therefore if you choose to buy it (or pick it up) from the airport make sure your flight lands during office hours, otherwise you will have to purchase it in the city center. The office is closed on 25th December and on 1st January too.
