A: This answer varies depending on where you come from and where do you want to go back to.
For Tourist from Inside Barcelona
For those accommodated inside Barcelona it is very easy to get to the Camp Nou Stadium. The best and most recommended way is by metro L3 (green) or L5 (blue). Most of the tourists arrive to the stadium by L3 because it crosses the city center, from Plaça d’Espanya through La Rambla until the end Passeig de Gracia and Plaça de Catalunya. Depending on the location of your seats in the arena, you can choose your closest station. There are 4 different metro stations located around the stadium, and you will have to walk between 5-15 min towards the right entrance.
If you are not coming for a game but for the Camp Nou Experience, the best station to get off is Collblanc with L5 or the Palau Reial station with L3.
You can easily get back to your hotel using the Metro lines described above. On game days these lines run until late at night after the game finishes, so no football fan will be left at the stadium overnight.
For Tourist from Outside Barcelona
There are many tourists that visit the stadium from outside of the city, especially from Costa Brava. The beginning of the touristic season starts around March – April. Arriving to Camp Nou from outside of the city can be a little bit difficult. Of course you can take the train to Barcelona and then arrive to the stadium by the Metro (as described above), but during games like Champions League that start late at night, it is hard to find available trains that run that late at night.
In this case you have three options – If the game starts around noon or up until 5:00 pm there is no real problem – you will easily find public transportation available. If the game starts at 8:00 pm it can be problematic to find transportation and you need to check the schedule of the trains. If the game starts late, around 10:00 pm, you won’t be able to find a train back to your city. In the last case we recommend to book a hotel inside Barcelona, next to the stadium or near the train station (for additional information – Hotels near Camp Nou, Football Vacation Hotels and Hotels in Barcelona). Another option is to arrive with a private or rented car, leave the car outside the city and then take a Metro to and from the stadium (for additional information – Parking Near Camp Nou, Car Rental in Barcelona and Car Rental in Spain).
